It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Doug Clarke after a short battle with cancer. A long-serving and well-loved stalwart of The Who family, Doug’s time with us stretched back to 1971 when he first began working for the band.
For over five decades, Doug was a constant and dedicated presence. Most recently serving as Roger Daltrey’s personal assistant, his commitment and steady hand were a cornerstone behind the scenes. His journey with the band wove through the fabric of countless tours, recordings, and moments that defined an era.
Doug was more than a crew member; he was part of our foundation. His loss leaves a quiet space where his reliability and warmth once resided. Our deepest thoughts and condolences go out to Doug’s family, to Roger and Pete, and to his many friends within The Who crew worldwide. He will be greatly missed.
